You could get for your MG something called a “Bermuda Hardtop”, the perfect accessory for the motor enthusiast who enjoys melting in the hot sun.

Bermuda Square
For real though, a hard top for the MG would be nice...

Nah it adds more seals to leak

That’s pretty cool. I wonder if it had sun shades.
Also, despite the fact that they shied away from cutting into the door joins or even making it removable. I bet the thing let in rain and wind like you wouldn’t believe.

melting in the hot sun
I see you’ve never been to England...
Although... I guess the rear-view mirror glass on my mom’s MGB did melt off the frame, she had to beg a postwoman for some rubber bands to hold it in place temporarily.
Still though, I’m going to say that blazing sun is mostly an issue in climates far from MG’s home turf.

I feel like something without the, I assume, Perspex roof windows and with a less awkward side window treatment would have been pretty much a perfect product.

I think everybody had a go at making a hardtop for the MGB.

I’ve never seen that before, it’s really pretty. I still prefer the GT over the roadster, but I wouldn’t turn down either.

I think MG’s second biggest market outside the U.K. was California.

But was the Bermuda Hardtop sold there?

phhht. All these wimps and their hardtops. MG’s are all about getting caught out in the rain with leaky roofs and wipers that don’t work... ziploc bags are the MG owner’s friend!
